Ans: Yes, there are two rules. The first is that you must paste or paint a ‘L’ sign at the back and front of your vehicle in red, on a white background and the second is that you must at all times be accompanied by a person holding a regular licence. Secondly, If you are learning how to drive a two-wheeler, you cannot carry any other person on the pillion except your instructor.

Ans. No, an instructor can not accompany you for your test. An Inspector of the Transport Department will test you for your driving abilities and you have to bring your own vehicle for driving test of the same categories.
Q. WHAT HAPPENS IF I FAIL THE DRIVING TEST?
Ans. You may apply for a re-test after 7 days. However this period of 7 days should be utilized to upgrade your skills and to rectify your mistakes.

The applicant must check his particulars on the driving licence at the time of data entry or approval; otherwise he may have to pay extra charges for reprinting. The Transport Department does not hold any responsibility for any kind of discrepancies if reported after issuance of driving licence.

If an accident occurs after the expiry of your Driving Licence, the Insurance Company will not provide the compensation and you will also be at fault in the Eyes of the Law.

For duplicate license you have to approach the issuing authority and the particulars will be verified from their records. The validity of duplicate licence will be the same of your previous licence. The original issuing authority will issue your duplicate license. If your license is lost and expired by more than 6 months your case requires permission from Head Quarter of Transport Department.
